Boddhist Piligrimage Journey
Duration - 14 Days/15 Nights
Destination Covered:- Delhi -Agra - Kanpur- Varanasi -Bodhgaya-Rajgir-nalanda-Bodhgaya - Bodhgaya -Vaishali - Vaishali-Kushinagar-Lumbini - Sravasti - Kanpur -Delhi.
Buddhism founded in North India, is not a religion but a system of philosophy and code of morality. With 6.7 million Buddhists in its manifold the country abounds in plethora of monuments and locales associated with Buddhism. " O-Bhikshus’ after my death when people and members of new generation comes and ask you then tell them that here the Buddha was born, here he attained the full enlightenment , here he turned the wheel of Dharma twelve times , and here finally the Buddha entered into Par nirvana. (The Buddha). Hundreds of years have gone by, but architectural splendors’, still standing resoundingly are ample testimonial of Buddhist philosophy and doctrines. It’s all possible to come across with such splendors’ as we have for you the following tour plan.
Day 01:- Arrive Delhi
On arrival and transferred to hotel. Overnight in hotel at Delhi.
Day 02:- Delhi -Agra (200 km /6 hrs.)
Today we will drive to Agra en-route visiting the Sikandra. check in hotel. Afternoon go for shopping, after taking dinner in Indian restaurant over night at Agra.
Day 03 -Agra- Kanpur (280 km / 8 hrs)
After breakfast we will start to Kanpur, enroute we visit Sankinsa Buddhist place, arrive Kanpur overnight Kanpur.
Day 04 Kanpur- Varanasi (270 km / 8 hrs)
After breakfast we will start to Varanasi, enroute we visit Allahabad to see sangam (where three holy river merge, GANGA, JAMUNA&SARASWATI), Hanuman Mandir, arrive Varanasi, overnight at Varanasi.
Day 05 Varanasi-Sarnath (11 Km \ 1 hrs.)
After breakfast go to Sarnath: famous for its Dhamekh Stupa and for it being the place where Buddha preached his first sermon enshrining the principle of his teachings into laws. Overnight at hotel in Varanasi.
Day 06 Varanasi
At dawn enjoy boat ride at River Ganges, Ganga Arti, followed by a city tour covering - Vishwanath Temple, Bharat Mata Temple, Laxminarayan Temple etc. Overnight at Varanasi.
Day 07 - Varanasi -Bodhgaya (270km./ 8 hrs)
fter breakfast we will start to Bodhgaya arrive Bodhgaya, overnight in Bodhgaya.
Day 08 - Bodhgaya-Rajgir-nalanda-Bodhgaya (96km each side/2hrs)
In Bodhgaya for two nights with excursions to Rajgir/ Nalanda / Sapta pari cave and Venevamas. Above two days you will come across with many locales of Buddhist significance, i.e., Rajgir: an important Buddhist pilgrimage since the Buddha spent 12 years here, and the first Buddhist council after the Buddha attained Nirvana was held here, Nalanda: founded in the 5th century known as center of intellectualism. Overnight at Bodhgaya.
Day 09 - Bodhgaya -Vaishali (250 km/8 hrs)
After breakfast go to Vaishali, a very special place to Buddhists as The Lord delivered his last sermon & announced his impending " Nirwana". See the majesty of Ashok Pillar -Lotus tank, Chaumukhi, overnight at Vaishali.
Day 10 - Vaishali- Kushinagar (230 km/7 hrs)
Morning we will start to Kushinagar, arrive and visit Mahanirvana Temple, the modern Japan/Srilanka Buddhist center & monasteries. Overnight at Kushinagar.
Day 11 - Kushinagar-Lumbini (175 km/6 hrs)
Morning visit to Ashoka's pillar (249 BC) rediscovered in 1890's inside thick Sal forest, a temple of Mayadevi, the ruins of an old monastery and some new stupas, overnight at Lumbini.
Day 12 - Lumbini-Sravasti (240 km/6hrs)
After breakfast proceed to Sravasti where you will see the extensive ruins of this ancient city & Jetavana Monastery. On arrival transfer to hotel. Overnight at sravasti.
Day 13 -Sravasti-Kanpur (270 km/7 hrs)
After breakfast drives from Sravasti to Kanpur, overnight at Kanpur.
Day 14 -(400 km/10hrs)
After breakfast proceed to Delhi, arrive Delhi, overnight at Delhi.
Day 15 -Delhi
After early breakfast we visit to Laxmi Narayan Temple, Chhatar Pur Temple, SaiBaba Temple, Iskon Temple, in evening go to Akshardham Temple to see light show. After dinner go to airport. Tour end.
